Job description
- Development and implementation of HR policies and procedures:
○ Maintain and update HR policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
○ Assist in developing employee handbooks and internal guidelines to align with company culture and goals.
- Employee onboarding and offboarding processes:
○ Design and conduct orientation sessions for new hires, introducing them to company policies and culture.
○ Oversee exit interviews and ensure smooth offboarding, including the collection of company property and final paperwork.
- Maintenance of employee records for compliance:
○ Maintain accurate and secure records for all employees, including personal information, job history, and benefits.
○ Ensure documentation complies with regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Administration of employee benefits:
○ Manage enrollment and updates for health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
○ Serve as a liaison between employees and benefit providers to address questions and concerns.
- Employee Relations:
○ Mediate workplace disputes and provide solutions to maintain a positive work environment.
○ Track, monitor, and maintain a database of disciplinary actions.
○ Track, monitor, and maintain a database of positive actions.
- Recruitment and hiring process support:
○ Collaborate with hiring managers to draft job descriptions and post vacancies on relevant platforms.
○ Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate subsequent interview rounds.
- Development and coordination of employee training initiatives and programs:
○ Provide solutions for training initiatives within defined budgets.
○ Assign training programs and certifications as directed by respective managers.
○ Coordinate with external training providers for specialized certifications and workshops.
○ Create and maintain a database of certifications currently held by employees of the organization, ensuring it is updated regularly and accessible to management for planning and compliance purposes.
- Employee engagement and retention strategies:
○ Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement, such as recognition programs and career development opportunities.
○ Analyze turnover data and implement retention strategies based on insights.
Certified Payroll Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of certified payroll reports (e.g., WH-347 forms):
○ Complete and submit WH-347 forms accurately and on time for government contracts.
○ Maintain transparency in payroll reporting to meet client and agency expectations.
- Compliance with federal and state labor laws (e.g., Davis-Bacon Act, SCA):
○ Stay updated on relevant labor laws and regulations.
○ Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws.
- Maintenance of payroll records and timely reporting:
○ Record and update payroll data, including hours worked and wages paid.
○ Generate and distribute payroll reports as needed for internal and external use.
- Verification of labor hours and classifications with project managers:
○ Work closely with project managers to confirm correct labor classifications and hours worked on specific projects.
○ Ensure that job classifications align with contract requirements.
- Resolution of payroll discrepancies:
○ Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll data promptly.
○ Communicate effectively with employees and management to address concerns and provide resolutions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
